“Apprezzami l’Asino” Trail
Panoramic coastal route from Sapri harbor to the Lucanian border
Sentiero Apprezzami L'Asino, Sapri SA 84073

The toponym “Apprezzami l’Asino” is documented by the Municipality: a local legend explains the narrow passes too tight for two animals to cross.
The Mezzanotte Channel marks the natural border between Campania and Basilicata, overlooking a small cove only reachable by sea.
A coastal route starting at Sapri Harbor (stairway of the “Lovers’ Path”) and continuing along the slope towards Torre Capobianco up to the Mezzanotte area, on the border with Basilicata. The traditional name recalls the narrow passes once negotiated by pack animals.
