Municipal Gardens
Municipal gardens and the Carlo Pisacane monument
Villa Comunale, Sapri SA 84073

Chiaromonte’s 1933 Pisacane monument is oriented with his back to the sea and his gaze to the mountains.
Thanks to its central location, the gardens are often used for summer showcases and events.
The Villa Comunale is the green oasis in front of the Town Hall. Inside stands the bronze monument to Carlo Pisacane (1933) by Gaetano Chiaromonte: the ‘handsome captain’ with his back to the sea and his gaze to the mountains. A place to pause and a thoroughfare between the center and the seafront, it often hosts cultural events.
