Church of Santa Croce
Late-19th-century Neo-Gothic by the sea
Chiesa Santacroce, 84079 San Marco SA

Municipal sources call it a ‘gem’ in Gothic style within the complex commissioned by Giuseppe Cesarino (1898).
In 2024 the Ministry included the building among the projects funded for seismic safety, with €1.275 million.
Built in 1898 at the initiative of Cav. Giuseppe Cesarino, the church belongs to the Santa Croce complex later entrusted to the Padri Bigi. An example of (Neo)Gothic architecture overlooking the sea, it is undergoing restoration: in 2024 the Ministry of Culture allocated €1,275,000 for safety and enhancement works.
