The church is among the symbolic places of the 08/15/1943 memory, recalled every year with a public ceremony in the square.
The 2010–2012 renewal completely replaced the previous parish building.
Historic parish in central Sapri. Damaged by the bombings of August 15, 1943 and rebuilt after the war, it was renewed in the 2000s: the previous building was demolished in 2010 and the new church was inaugurated on August 19, 2012. The square hosts the annual commemoration of the civilian victims.
